They will only be able to use an eSIM or virtual sim; physical SIM insertion will no longer be an option. The eSIM perform the same function as the traditional ones: they allow a device to use mobile networks but being virtual they are integrated directly into the device. Simply scan a QR code with your smartphone to activate them. This code needs to be saved because it serves as the SIM's official identification. Apple underlined the ...

Smartphones can make you sick

Image
People touch their smartphone more than 2,000 times a day on average and this habit can also make them sick by suffering from various allergies.   This claim came out in a new medical study. Research from Boston Children's Hospital in the UNITED States found that smartphones prove to be the home of allergy-causing materials and the best way to avoid this is often cleaning the phones. Research has shown that smartphones become home to allergy-causing agents such as fungi and pet bacteria. In this study, researchers in different smartphone models discovered increased levels of allergy-causing elements such as Beta-Glucans (BDG) and endotoxin. BDGs are found in fungal cells and cause chronic respiratory tract diseases, the researchers said. The study said that if a person suspects allergies or has asthma, they should clean their smartphone frequently to avoid allergies or asthma attacks. Researchers said that research proves that when allergy-ca...

"This could be anything from a passport, driver's license, or identity card. To open bank accounts or apply for telecom subscriptions, they use someone's data. Identity fraud, according to Van Bortel, typically occurs at particular times. The Antwerp district police have received more reports over the last two years, particularly in the autumn. Learning to speak: 5 tips on how you can support your baby

Image
When your baby first begins to speak, the first "Ma-ma" or "Da-da" is still a random sound, but it still serves as the signal to begin speaking properly. We'll go over how you can use this to support your child.   Babies try to talk for the first time at a very young age. At three to six months, they are already babbling and giggling to themselves, sometimes loudly and sometimes very quietly. All of these noises and sounds are already getting them ready to talk.   You can even hear correct syllables like "da," "ma," and "na" at some point. The moment that mom and dad have been waiting for so long comes all at once. The baby makes noises that sound like "Mama" or "Mamamamamamama."   It works a little earlier with one baby and a little later with the other. Even if your baby says "mommy" or "dad" for the first time by accident and doesn't know what the word means, it's a magical m...

Fatigue fracture - what it is and how it occurs

Image
Bone fracture from overload www.t-online.de You run the risk of developing a stress fracture if you overwork any part of your body for an extended period of time. Here, you can learn more about what it is and how the bone functions.   A sudden and severe shock, such as can happen in an accident, is not always the reason for a bone to break. If the bone is subjected to strains repeatedly over an extended period of time, even minor strains can result in fractures.   The bone eventually becomes brittle from the constant and excessive application of force, "tires" to some extent and loses stability as a result, and eventually breaks. Stress fractures are the name for this kind of bone fracture. Another term used in technical speak is stress fracture.   What is a stress fracture? Good news for gamers: 55 frames per second allows for casual gaming. Additionally available are Wi-Fi 6 (ax-WLAN), Bluetooth 5.2, and a dual SIM slot with support for 5G. Unfortunately, there is no SD card slot, so the 128 GB internal memory cannot be increased. Protection from water and dust is also lacking. The Xiaomi Poco F4's 6.7-inch OLED display is impressive: The display offers a refresh rate of 120 Hertz in addition to a Full HD resolution (2,400 x 1,080 pixels) and decent sharpness of about 400 ppi. Three good reasons: Why you should switch off your smartphone at night

Image
Many smartphones stay on all the time and only turn off when the battery runs out. In fact, both the phone and its users will live longer if the phone is turned off every night before bed. We'll show you why this is also true in the next section. Photo by Miriam Alonso: pexels.com   Extend cell phone lifespan   Most people don't use their cell phones at night. Instead, they put them on standby or charge them and leave them on their nightstands while they sleep.   When lithium-ion batteries are charged for too long, like overnight, it hurts them and makes them less powerful. Even if the phone isn't plugged in to the charger but is just sitting on the nightstand in idle mode, it still uses power. This could be because the phone is always connected to the cell tower or because apps are running in the background. Because of this, the cell phone needs to be charged more often.   But many smartphones can only be charged a certain number of times before the ba...

Progressive glasses - clarity of sight at any distance

Image
How do you read at a distance? Do you slide your glasses over your forehead or the tip of your nose and look at nearby objects without them? Or do you carry two pairs of glasses with you - one for on-the-street use and one for in-store shopping? Photo by Dominika Roseclay: Pexels.com   Presbyopia or "old-sightedness," usually occurs after the age of 40. People suffering from presbyopia keep the object of the activity away from their eyes. It can make it difficult to read books, check messages on a phone or file nails with a nail file.   They have to change their glasses depending on how far they are looking. For example, to check the timetable at a stop, they remove the "minuses" and put the "pluses" in.   Instead of two pairs of glasses - progressive glasses   New technologies make it possible to incorporate different powers in one lens. They are glasses that allow you to see smoothly and clearly at any distance. These are glasses with progressiv...

Image
Experts from Africa and the United States assert to have found the newest and most potent anti-malaria medication available today, which can offer up to 6 months of malaria protection.   Despite the fact that there are currently other medications and vaccines for the treatment and prevention of malaria, more than 600,000 people worldwide still die from the disease each year, and another two to two and a half million contract it.
