IPHONE 14 PRO WILL BE LIKE A BUDGETARY WITH ANDROID?
Forgive me for mocking the title, but I couldn't help it. There is a rumor that the upcoming iPhone 14 Pro will receive a 48 megapixel camera - the kind we meet in inexpensive Android smartphones ...
Of course, the megapixels themselves do not translate into the quality of the photo, and 48 Mpx in a cheap android will not have a chance to match the same resolution in the iPhone - but the change is noteworthy. Especially when we realize that the resolution of the cameras is an element that Apple changes extremely rarely. Take a look. We have seen such great jumps (not counting those in the first three generations of iPhones ) very rarely. With the iPhone 4 and 4S , we had a jump from 5 to 8 megapixels, and then, when switching from iPhone 6 to iPhone 6s , we jumped from 8 to 12 megapixels, which continues to this day.
Apple has reportedly decided to jump into higher resolution only now. The question - why, if it is not the number of megapixels that is responsible for the final effect of the photo? It is possible that Apple needs a higher resolution for filming in 8K, or for use in image processing and some additional effects. Finally, as in most cases, the pixels will probably work in the combining mode - and the full resolution of the matrix will be used "in the background", which may result in some extraordinary photographic possibilities. Something tells me that at a time when 200 Mpx matrices begin to appear in the Android world, Apple will only show how much can be squeezed out of 48 Mpx, which has actually been almost superseded from the world of smartphones with the Google system ...
