Sleep with your eyes covered, and get mental benefits

A British scientist has proved through two different experiments that sleeping with a mask covering the eyes at night has mental benefits and the next day you wake up stronger.   Although the number of participants in the research is small, the statistical significance of this study is in its place. The reason for this is that even a little light in the bedroom can affect the brain and by stopping it, not only can you stay alert the next day, but it can also improve memory.   British scientists have tested it in two important experiments, but it has confirmed the research of Italian and American scientists who have previously said that stopping all kinds of light during sleep or complete darkness in the room can have mental benefits, the results of which are immediately revealed the next day.   In a report published in the journal Sleep, Viviana Greco of Cardiff University, and her colleagues said, "Light light on the sides during sleep can affect sleep...

How many hours of sleep per day can prevent life-threatening chronic diseases?

who sleep for 5 hours or less in middle age have an increased risk of multiple chronic diseases, according to a new medical study.  This was revealed in a new medical study.  The study, published in the journal PLOS Medicine, looked at 8,000 British civil servants who had not been diagnosed with any chronic disease until the age of 50.  At that time, their sleep duration was determined and then these people were evaluated for 25 years.  During this period, they were asked several times how long their sleep was each night.  The results showed that people aged 50 years or older, if their sleep duration was 5 hours or less, increased their risk of multiple chronic diseases by 30 percent over time.  At the age of 60, the risk of getting infected with these diseases increases by 32 and by the age of 70, the risk of getting infected with these diseases increases by 40 percent.  Research has shown that such people are at an increased risk of diabetes, cancer,...

More people die because heat makes it hard for them to sleep.

According to a new study, extreme heat at night can increase mortality. An excessive amount of heat at night can interfere with normal human physiology, according to a recent study that was published in the Lancet Planetary Health journal. The study's results show that heat-related sleep problems can cause heart, brain, and long-term illnesses and may also weaken the immune system. A team of experts from China, South Korea, Japan, Germany, and the United States collaborated to write this paper, which was released on August 8, 2022. The research team calculated the number of heat-related deaths in 28 cities in China, South Korea, and Japan between 1980 and 2015. The research team compared those figures to climate change models created by the corresponding national governments. Yuqiang Zhang, a climate scientist at the University of North Carolina's Gilling School of Global Public Health's Department of Environmental Sciences and Engineering, says that people often don'...

Do you think 8 hours of sleep is enough? Here's what this study says!

The golden rule for a healthy night's sleep has long been eight hours of sleep. However, new study from China and the United Kingdom suggests that elderly adults require less sleep. The majority of us have learned this rule: an adult's complete night's sleep is eight hours. However, as people get older, this may no longer be the case. Researchers from the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom and Fudan University in China discovered that for middle-aged and older persons, seven hours of sleep may be the best sleep time. Researchers found that seven hours of sleep was the best for mental health in a study published in the journal Nature Aging. Participants in the study reported their sleeping habits and answered questions about their overall health and mental well-being. They were put through a variety of cognitive skills exercises that examined their processing speed, visual attention, memory, and problem-solving abilities. Those who had slept for seven hours strai...
